Marianne & Andrew
Marianne Yeomans trained under with Helen Jackson-Thomas. She worked for many years in the Peggy Inglis School of Dance and took over the running of the school under the name "Step by Step", following Peggy’s retirement. During this time she also taught movement plus music sessions in playgroups and nurseries. She has written, appeared in, choreographed and produced many shows both locally and at the King’s Theatre, Glasgow. She has worked with many youth theatre companies all over Scotland, including the CM Fry Studio Theatre for many years. In 2006, she founded running the successful Greenock Youth Theatre, building on the success of the Largs Youth Theatre, co-founded with Andrew in 2002.
Andrew McGregor studied music and theatre at Glasgow University, graduating in 2002. He has also obtained a Diploma of Solo acting from the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Having worked for Carole Fry's drama group in Greenock for many years he teamed up with Marianne Yeomans (who was running the local dance school) to create the Largs Youth Theatre. Andrew has been musical director and producer for a number of theatre companies and has performed at various theatres around Scotland. In addition to this, he lectures in Music Composition at Paisley University and also teaches Sound Engineering and Production at St Columba's High School in Kilmacolm. He recently build a recording studio in Largs town centre, from which he runs his company Honky Tonk Media.
